I am thrilled to be joining you all as your parochial vicar this July while working alongside the pastor, Fr. McCullough. In a certain sense it is a home coming because I was baptized at St. James on June 28, 1992, and it is still the home parish of my grandfather, Dr. John Albers. It is good to be coming home!
I was ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Schnurr on May 18, 2019, after attending both Bishop Simon Brute College Seminary and Mount St. Mary’s Seminary of the West for major seminary. Before all of that, I grew up in Mason as the second of four boys. I do have one adorable niece who I like to tell stories about. Don’t hold it against me, but I attended Mason public schools K-12 before beginning college seminary. After ordination, I spent my first year of priesthood at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Anderson.
